Have you ever made it to the end of your week and felt like nothing really got accomplished?
Your to-do list is still really long and you’ll probably have to work on the weekend to catch up before Monday.
Not a great feeling is it? I’ve been there.
It wasn’t until I started implementing 3 different types of days into my week that I start to feel REALLY productive and accomplished.
In episode 92 of the GUIDE Culture podcast, Macy walks you through the 3 types of days that we like to implement here at GUIDE Culture: Onstage Days, Backstage Days and Decision Days.
She breaks down what each day really is and what kind of tasks and activities should happen on each day in order to consistently move the needle in your life and business. Listen Here:
The 3 Types of Days to Help You MOVE THE NEEDLE in Your Life and Business:
1 – ON STAGE DAY ????⠀⠀
On stage days are exactly what they sound like. It’s like a performance day.
You’re dressed and ready, so you need to make the MOST of it.
Seriously, you can let a day of makeup and clean hair go to waste ????????♀️
Types of on stage activities:
- Recording Podcasts
- Filming Facebook or Instagram Lives
- Mini Trainings on Instagram Stories
- Photoshoots (or a good selfie)
- Sales Calls
- Contractor Interviews
2 – BACKSTAGE DAY ✍????
Without backstage days, there are no onstage days. These days set you up to know EXACTLY what to do on your onstage days. Think of it like the rehearsal before the big performance.
You can rock your leggings and messy bun, because IT’S TIME TO WORK.
Types of backstage activities:
- Studying (and a lot of it)
- Writing allllll the content (emails, IG posts, blogs, etc)
- Follow Ups
- Website Editing
- Strategy Outline
3️⃣ DECISION DAY ✅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having ONE (yes, only one) decision day will prevent decision fatigue – it’s a real thing.
You’re more likely to make higher quality decisions when you aren’t making decisions every single day.
Something we like to do here at GUIDE Culture before making any decision, is to put it through a few filter questions:
- Is it aligned with who we are?
- Is it aligned with where we want to go?
- Are we rushing?
- Is this out of fear or excitement?
- Have we prayed about it?
- Is there another option that we’re already/not already doing?
Implementing these 3 types of days into your week can truly help you be more productive, have clarity in your thinking and consistently perform your best work!
I’d love to know if you are implementing or plan to implement this system into your work week. Let me know on Instagram (@macymcneely).
