How To Stay Positive + Productive During COVID-19
Does COVID-19 aka Coronavirus have you isolated in your house for a few weeks?
Loy and Macy recorded a bonus podcast episode to talk about what you can do during this crazy season to take command of your life and not be victim to your circumstances.
Here’s a quick recap:
So, what can you do?
First, you MUST get a positive mindset and maintain that.
It’s crucial that you look for the good.
The thing is, the media is just doing their job. They have an obligation to share what’s going on in the world – whether it’s positive or negative.
If you choose to focus on solely the negative news, IT WILL affect you… if you let it.
There absolutely is a way that you can control your input. You get to choose what thoughts your brain processes.
Swap the negative media for a positive podcast, read a personal development book, journal, exercise, etc.
View this time as an opportunity to learn and grow yourself. If you’re going to be isolated indoors, you might as well make good use of your time!
Take an online course, join a free virtual group, learn a new skill on YouTube, write content.
It’s normal for us to crave human connection, but we must be smart during a time like this. Take it seriously for the health and safety for you and those around you.
To keep human connection alive during this time of isolation, here are a few things you can do:
- call someone (yep, taking it back to the basics here 📞)
- write a letter (snail mail still exists ✉️)
- host your meetings virtually (praise the internet 🙌)
- participate in a virtual group exercise class (it’s a thing 🏃♂️)
